Some advice from the Oakland County Health Department:
If you feel sick (COVID-19 symptoms may include fever, cough, shortness of breath), stay home and avoid contact with others. Contact your doctor, primary care physician, emergency room or our nurse on call at 1-800-848-5533 before going to a health care facility. They will provide you with instructions about seeking care or being tested if necessary.
They have established the Oakland County Help Hotline 1-248-858-1000 to address the non-health needs of the general public such as food or housing assistance. The hotline will be staffed from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. and the call center team will refer your specific needs to the county departments and divisions that can help or to other agencies and programs that can assist.
